Property Funding was established in 2000 by Miles and Blair.

Following successful careers in business banking and wealth management, they decided to start a business that had the investors interests at heart.

Miles, with his big picture approach and Blair with his attention to detail, give them the attributes required for dealing with clients individual property finance situations.

Property Funding has earned its reputation as a trusted first mortgage lender over the 25 plus years it has been in operation.

Blair is a seasoned property finance professional with over 31 years’ lending experience. Prior to co-founding Property Funding in 2000 he had a successful career in business banking.

Blair is detail focused and is skilled at structuring complex loans. He personally reviews every first mortgage before it is presented to investors.

Blair’s farming background means that he loves getting outdoors with his wife and two daughters. He is a keen tennis player, fisherman, mountain biker, and skier.

Miles has more than 25 years’ experience in the property finance sector having co-founded Property Funding in 2000. He has worked closely with professional property developers over the years becoming well-versed in project finance.

Miles focuses on the bigger picture and takes a strategic approach to lending. He is skilled at identifying lending opportunities often over looked by others.

Miles enjoys spending time in the South Island, skiing and mountain biking with his wife and three children. Miles is a motorcycle fanatic. He eats, sleeps, and dreams motorcycles.

Pip joined Property Funding after a successful career as a Senior Registered Legal Executive with Duncan Cotterill, bringing extensive experience across property, lending and finance.

Drawing on her legal expertise and commercial understanding of the lending sector, Pip plays a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business while maintaining Property Funding’s commitment to exceptional client service.

As a property investor herself, Pip has a genuine understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by clients. Outside of work, she enjoys renovation projects with her husband, spending time at the beach and getting out for bush walks.

PAUL MCCORMICK

Paul is an experienced director, governance professional, and Chartered Accountant with more than 40 years of experience advising organisations across a range of sectors. He has a proven track record in board leadership, strategic planning, risk management, financial stewardship, and organisational governance.

Throughout his career, Paul has worked closely with boards, executives, and stakeholders to strengthen performance, enhance accountability, and deliver sustainable growth. Known for his integrity, sound judgement, and collaborative approach, he brings a deep understanding of governance best practice and business leadership.

Outside work, Paul enjoys golf, travel, walking, and most sports.

With a background in financial markets, Kobe enjoys the problem-solving side of structuring a deal. He takes a hands on approach, working closely with the directors to get borrowers a clear answer quickly.

Away from the office you’ll find Kobe biking, skiing, and keeping fit.

Julia has over 20 years of legal experience gained across various long established and reputable mid-sized Auckland law firms, including some with a history of over a century.  She has extensive experience in banking and finance, property (both commercial and residential), commercial and trust law with particular skills in resolving complex matters.

Julia is detailed focused and ensures her work is consistently in high technical standard.  She is skilled in strategic planning and in finding legally sound solution options. 

Julia loves travelling, musicals, operas and movies.  She also enjoys playing tennis with friends in a social (non-competitive) context.

She has a high attention to detail, is very process-driven, and balances this with her approachable and friendly nature.

Fiona loves fitness and anything outdoors, regularly supporting her husband and two children in their chosen activities, as well as continuing to play competitive squash.

Prior to Property Funding Jacinda had a successful career in the IT industry. She worked on IT projects for investment banks in the UK, and within the district health board in New Zealand.

Jacinda has an eye for detail and a natural flair for organisation. She ensures the smooth running of Property Funding’s day-to-day operations.
